CHALLENGE
With the global pandemic shutting down WORK’s annual ultra-marathon fundraiser plans, we were faced with a problem: do we cancel the Run, or continue with a virtual version of the Run?

INSIGHT
Our 2020 Run Across Haiti® team have been training hard for this run for a year, and wanted to create an event for them to finish what they started.

SOLUTION
As an organization that believes in followthrough, we decided to create the Run Across May, a month-long virtual run that challenges runners to run 200 miles (the length of our original Run Across Haiti®) at home. We invited all of our supporters to do 200 of anything.

We made the decision to create a sub-brand and start building on our Run Across Series.

Handpenned letters from all of our participants explaining what inspired them to commit to 200 Together.




CAMPAIGN PHOTOS/CREATIVE DIRECTION

To capture the essence of the experience and to thank our sponsors, we coordinated with 3 photographers in Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, and Philly.

We had to get creative with the assets we already had from Haiti, since we couldn’t get into country.



PARTNERSHIPS

FIRST MILE x PUMA x RUN ACROSS HAITI®
WORK’s sister company, First Mile, is a people-focused network that strengthens micro-economies in Haiti, Honduras, and Taiwan by collecting plastic bottles to create sustainable jobs and reduce environmental waste.

To launch their first collaboration line and bring the product story full circle, we worked with PUMA to brand and gift products to our original 2020 Run Across Haiti® roster.


CIELE®
We also collaborated with Ciele® to release a limited run hat for our runners and supporters to purchase.
